Jonathan Larson, MD, MBA is the president of the GoodRx Care provider network. In this capacity, he manages the telemedicine organization's healthcare providers. Before Dr. Larson became a physician, however, he served in the United States Army for 5 years.​ For his undergraduate degree, Dr. Larson attended the United States Military Academy West Point.  He graduated in 1997 with a major in chemistry life sciences and a minor in systems engineering and entered the Army as a Second Lieutenant.

​After graduating from West Point, Dr. Larson served for 5 years in the Army’s Medical Service Corps. He specialized in nuclear, biological, and chemical agents as the subject matter expert on his unit. Dr. Larson left active service in 2002 at the rank of Captain. He remained on the inactive reserve list for another 3 years before being honorably discharged.

As his time in the military ended, Dr. Larson was faced with deciding what his future career would be. He considered returning to school to study either business or medicine. He believes his experiences after 9/11 influenced his choice to go into emergency medicine. He wanted to have training that would prepare him to help in similar situations. He ended up attending McGovern Medical School at UTHealth, in Houston, Texas. He later completed an emergency medicine residency at University of California Davis Health, in Sacramento, California.

In addition to practicing emergency medicine, Dr. Larson was the medical director at Aetna and started a health tech company, Medspoke Inc., before joining Hey Doctor, which is now GoodRx Care.
